Singular Vessels comprise eight acupuncture channels that are often referred to as the Eight "Extra", "Extraordinary", or "Curious" Meridians. While many consider them carriers of rarified, embryonic, or other-worldly influences, they are, in reality, representations of vascular routes that are individual, or singular, rather than paired. The first video in this section describes the anatomy of the singular vessels. The second video presents "big", or significant, canine points along the Conception Vessel (CV) pathway. The Conception Vessel travels along the ventral aspect of the dog, complementing the Governor Vessel (GV) on the dorsum. It traces the cranioventral midline, overlying key nerve roots, fascial planes, and major vascular pathways that serve the viscera.
Note: These MiniCourses also appear in the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians course. If you are a MAV Grad, feel free to take this course as a refresher.
