The HT channel passes from the center of the axilla to the medial antebrachium, carpus, and manus. It relates closely to the brachial plexus, flexors of the carpus and digits, and autonomically engaged neurovascular entities. Physiologic effects related to point indications include autonomic balance and emotional regulation as well as alleviation of ulnar nerve entrapment. Myofascial restriction in the flexor compartment of the antebrachium may cause discomfort along the HT channel, suggesting inclusion of one or more HT points along with local tender points, into a acupuncture treatment protocol.
Note: These MiniCourses also appear in the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians course. If you are a MAV Grad, feel free to take this course as a refresher.
